Presenting 3940 Rivendell Ct - truly a magical place to live
In the Lord of the Rings trilogy, J.R.R. Tolkien created a magical place called Rivendell.
Now you can have a magical place of your own, without moving to Middle Earth, in
this spectacular house on the edge of Milford’s Kensington Park. The house at 3940
Rivendell Ct is truly special. It is a one-off, architect-designed, timber-framed
house. The wonderful exposed frame beams of oak carry all of the load and they are
all held together by pegged mortise and tenon joints. The exterior is all cedar and
stone and the interior is a mix of oak, maple, cedar and redwood. The 5265 Sq Ft
house is set on 5.76 acres, including a large Koi pond in front and woods that border
Kensington Park in back. Here are some pictures, but this is one of those houses
that you really have to visit to appreciate.
